Our job is to respect both.
WHO OWNS THE CONTENT?
Copyright and creative ownership matter to us. Publishing something on Epilesode does not, by itself, mean that Epilesode owns it.
Your story remains your story.
If you submit an original story and give Epilesode permission to publish it, you retain the rights you hold in your original work unless you expressly agree otherwise.
Artwork remains with its creator.
Original artwork displayed on Epilesode remains the property of its respective copyright owner unless clearly stated otherwise.
Epilesode's original content is protected too.
Original writing, artwork, graphics, photographs and other creative material produced for Epilesode may be protected by copyright. Please do not copy, republish, modify or use this material without permission, except where applicable law allows.
Other people's work remains theirs.
Where we feature material belonging to a guest, contributor or another copyright holder, their rights remain with them or the relevant rights holder.
Copyright laws and permitted uses vary between countries. Nothing on this page is intended to remove rights or exceptions provided by applicable law.
What Can I Share?
SHARING EPILESODE CONTENT
We want information and conversations to travel — but we also want the people who created them to be respected.
You are welcome to share links.
You can share links to public Epilesode pages, stories, articles and episodes on social media, in messages or elsewhere online.
Please don't copy and repost entire works.
Unless you have permission or applicable copyright law allows it, please don't download, reproduce or republish complete articles, stories, artwork, graphics, photographs or other protected material from Epilesode.

If you'd like to reproduce Epilesode material for a website, publication, presentation, event, educational project or another purpose, contact us first. Where the material belongs to somebody else, we may need to direct you to the copyright owner.
Credit doesn't replace permission.
Giving somebody credit is important, but attribution alone doesn't necessarily give permission to reproduce their copyrighted work.

REAL STORIES & CONTRIBUTIONS
When you share your story with Epilesode, it is still your story.
Submitting original writing, photographs, artwork or other material does not automatically transfer your copyright to Epilesode.
You keep your rights.
You retain any copyright and other rights you hold in the original material you submit.
You give Epilesode permission to publish it.
If we accept your contribution for publication, you give Epilesode permission to display, reproduce and publish it through our website and Epilesode's associated channels for community, awareness and educational purposes.
We may make small editorial changes.
We may correct spelling, grammar, formatting or presentation where necessary, but we will not intentionally change the meaning of your story.
Publication is not guaranteed.
Submitting something does not guarantee that it will be published. We may decline or remove material where appropriate.
Other people's material needs permission.
Please only submit photographs, artwork, writing or other protected material that you created yourself or that you have the necessary permission or legal right to provide.

If the material belongs to a contributor, artist, guest or another rights holder, we may direct you to them because permission may not be ours to give.
