ART THROUGH EPILEPSY

Art can express what words sometimes cannot.

A collection by Stephanie Adams exploring epilepsy, emotion, identity, and the experiences that live beyond the diagnosis.

A growing collection of original artwork created for Epilesode - each piece with its own story, meaning and a place within the chaos

INDIGO

Indigo represents the side of epilepsy that isn't always visible. The brain behind the seizures, the waves of uncertainty, the missing pieces, and the strength to keep moving through them.

Pieces I Can’t Hold

Description:

Some days, memory feels like trying to hold onto pieces that are already drifting away. Thoughts disappear, time becomes uncertain, and familiar moments can feel just out of reach.

This drawing represents the hidden cognitive side of epilepsy — memory difficulties, brain fog, lost time and the effort it can take to piece things back together.

The Mind Keeps Its Own Time

A journey through memory, uncertainty and recovery. The broken clock represents time that can feel lost or distorted; the fragmented pieces reflect memories that may not return whole. The difficult staircase leads towards an open doorway — a reminder that progress does not have to be quick or straightforward to still be progress.

Some days are clouds. Some are fragments. Some finally let the light through.
